H&P Foundation is excited to announce the receipt of a $7,500 grant from Cygnum Capital, aimed at bolstering the Foundation’s efforts to support underserved students.

This funding will be directed toward scholarships, internship programs, and creating internship opportunities, furthering H&P’s commitment to empowering the next generation through education and professional development.

The majority of the grant will be allocated to covering school fees for the 2025 academic year, ensuring that H&P scholars can continue their studies without the burden of financial constraints. Additionally, the Foundation will utilize part of the funds to organize and host internship opportunities in the fourth quarter of this year.

These internships aim to expand career opportunities for students offering practical experience in a wide range of fields beyond traditional careers.

Education advocacy is at the heart of H&P Foundation’s mission, and this grant will also help amplify our efforts to raise awareness and address inequalities in the education system, advocate for positive changes in education, and promote equity and access.

Purity Maritim, Program Director at H&P Foundation, expressed her appreciation, saying, “This grant from Cygnum Capital is a game-changer for our students. It allows us to continue supporting their educational journeys while also offering practical experiences through internships.

We are incredibly grateful for Cygnum Capital’s partnership in our mission to empower young people.”

H&P Foundation has been steadfast in its mission to provide educational opportunities, mentorship, and career development programs to students from disadvantaged backgrounds. With the support of this grant, the Foundation is poised to make an even greater impact, ensuring that more students can access the resources they need to succeed academically and professionally.

Cygnum Capital CEO, Clemens Calice said “As a global, emerging market-focused, investment bank, our success is built on an unwavering commitment to address socio-economic and environmental challenges in the markets where we operate.

We are delighted to be able to support the H&P Foundation’s mission to address inequalities in the education system in Kenya, and help provide opportunities and empower young people from disadvantaged backgrounds”.
